Metallic kitchen cabinet finishes are the next big thing.
We brought this latest European trend to Florida. It is stunning what an intense look this finish creates.
This is definately something out of the ordinary within a contemporary kitchen design concept.
The large sized front panels are painted with a metallic lacquer that is called “oxydo” – the name already tells us something about the effect: panels that look like oxidized iron. Combined with an arctic white color for the contrasting cabinets, it really makes the metallic kitchen cabinets stand out.
Michael’s Designer Insight
Use the oxidized iron color to create a focal point for a kitchen islands or open, light flooded rooms.
When combined with architectural grays and cool whites you achieve a rustic yet luxurious look. It mimics oxidized iron perfectly and based on the usage of a sealed lacquer, this metallic kitchen cabinet front is resilient to humidity and sub-tropical climates.
